Switch to Tychron
Bring everything. Break nothing.
Keep your voice carrier and switch just your messaging — or bring everything. Numbers, 10DLC campaigns, toll-free, short codes: all of it moves to Tychron without re-registering what's already approved and without a gap in traffic. Most businesses come for the rates; they stay because the migration was the easiest part.
What moves
The three things a migration carries
- Your numbers. Most customers switch messaging only: hosted messaging makes Tychron the messaging carrier on your existing local and toll-free numbers while voice stays exactly where it is — no port, no change to your voice service. Prefer to consolidate? Numbers can also port in fully, voice and messaging together — Tychron is an FCC-approved numbering authority, so provisioning and porting run direct, on a scheduled FOC date you know in advance.
- Your 10DLC campaigns. Platforms and resellers with their own TCR CSP account share campaigns to Tychron as their Connectivity Partner — no re-registration, no brand resubmission. Campaigns your current provider registered for you are re-registered under Tychron with our vetting team's review before submission, so they pass on the first attempt.
- Your short codes. Dedicated codes migrate with their number and subscriber base intact — Tychron coordinates the registry transfer and per-carrier migrations, and flags any carrier migration charges before you commit.
The cutover
Sequenced so traffic never stops
Migrations fail when steps run in the wrong order. Ours run in parallel tracks that only converge when both sides are live: campaign sharing or registration completes first, hosted-messaging enablement or porting lands on its scheduled date, routing flips when delivery is confirmed — and your old service stays up until it does. You get a named plan with dates, not a leap of faith.
Switching FAQ
Can I keep my current voice carrier?
Yes — and most customers do exactly that. Hosted messaging is one of Tychron's primary focuses: we become the messaging carrier on numbers that stay with your existing voice provider, so voice service is untouched while your messaging routes through Tychron. No port required.
Will my messaging go down during the switch?
A properly sequenced cutover has no traffic gap: campaign sharing or registration runs first, the messaging path — hosted enablement or a scheduled port — is prepared alongside, and traffic shifts when both sides are confirmed live. Your current service keeps running until the moment the new path is ready.
Do I have to re-register my 10DLC campaigns?
If you have your own TCR CSP account, no — share your registered campaigns to Tychron as your Connectivity Partner through TCR's standard sharing flow, and brands, campaigns, and customer relationships stay under your account. If your current provider registered campaigns for you, we re-register them under Tychron as your CSP, with our vetting team reviewing each one before submission so it passes on the first attempt.
What does switching cost?
Porting and migration charges are quoted up front before you commit — nothing lands on an invoice that wasn't in the quote — and migrated campaigns get their standard $15 downstream vetting, passed through at cost. There are no monthly minimums and no term commitments.
Can I bring my short code?
Yes — short codes migrate between providers keeping the same number and subscriber base. Tychron coordinates the registry transfer and each carrier migration so campaigns keep running through the move, and we flag any carrier migration charges (such as Verizon's $500 per migrated standard-rated code) before you commit.
What should I have ready to get an accurate quote?
Your current invoice and a rough traffic mix (channels, monthly volumes, destinations). With those, we can price your exact traffic against your current provider line by line — usage rates, industry fees, and every surcharge from our published schedule.
Price the switch against your last invoice
Send us your invoice and traffic mix — we'll map the migration, date the cutover, and show you line by line what the same traffic costs direct from the carrier.
